The Drury is full of dogs due to a show this weekend. Strange to see prize poodles alongside Airedales next to the popcorn machine. The desk clerk wanted to introduce us to Clem Haskins- his Godfather. Apparently he grew up and moved back to KY. Unfortunately, Chris and I know little to nothing about basketball, so the allure was lost on us.
Had lunch at Cracker Barrel and grabbed local BBQ at Smokey Bones. SB was decent though still no Ted Cooks or Grandpa's, good smoked wings and baby back ribs. Our hotel staff said Jesus himself would enjoy the local BBQ wings. We have enjoyed the southern hospitality, and locals are incredibly helpful and friendly. Always an adjustment, but fall in love with the south every time. Only seven hours on the road tomorrow. Piece of cake. PS. 45 degrees and everyone is complaining it was 75 earlier in the week. No snow on the ground.
